Many people believe that eating healthy means sacrificing the wonderful, delicious sweets that we adore. However, that does not always have to be the case. While Starbuck's Unicorn Shake, or McDonald's Shamrock Shake may be calling your name, there are healthy alternatives out there.
This chocolate banana smoothie is a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth, without the added toxins and artificial sugars. It is vegan and gluten free, easy to make and so good for you!
Ingredients (1 serving):
1 cup of almonds/cashews or coconut milk
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp of raw cacao powder
1 tbsp of almond butter
1-2 drops of vanilla extract
1/3 cup of ice
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until desired consistency.
Add a bit more almond milk for lighter consistency.
